MURPHYSBORO – Evelyn C. McCaleb, 91, of Murphysboro, IL, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Manor Court, Carbondale, Illinois.

Evelyn was born December 26, 1930, in Pomona, IL, to C.E. and Ethel (Cauble) Franklin. Evelyn was retired from Curwood, Inc, Murphysboro, IL.

Evelyn is survived by her children: Larry McCaleb of Murphysboro, IL, Bruce McCaleb (Sharon) of Murphysboro, IL, Tony McCaleb of Murphysboro, IL, Nancy Farley of Murphysboro, IL; ten grandchildren: Larry McCaleb, Bruce McCaleb, Heather Robinson, Joy Fosser, Donavon Fleager, Greg Eisenhauer, Matt McCaleb, Jeremy Truitt, Stephanie McCaleb, John McCaleb; sisters: Shirley Colyer, Darlene Care; and a brother Gerald Franklin.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Cecil Franklin, and one grandson, Rusty McCaleb.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, August 22, 2022, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, IL, with Rev. Bob Spangler officiating. Burial to follow at Walker Hill, Grand Tower, IL.
