CARBONDALE, W. Evelyn Lee, 94, of Carbondale, passed away at 6:45 AM Friday, January 4, 2013, at Carbondale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Carbondale, Illinois. Evelyn was born March 24, 1918 in Ava, Illinois the daughter of William and Sadie (Carter) Madden. Evelyn married John Joseph Lee, Jr. He passed away on June 5, 1952. Evelyn was homemaker and a member of the Assembly of God Church in Ava, IL. She is survived by her daughter: Kathryn Roberts, Carbondale, IL; 2 Grandchildren: Kathy Raney, DuQuoin, IL and Joseph Roberts, Jr., Carbondale, IL; 2 Great Grandchildren: Chet Snyder, Murphysboro, IL and Cassandra Roberts, Elkville, IL. Also 1 Brother-in-law, Bill Lee, Murphysboro and 1 Sister-in-law, Dixie Piscoe, Belleville, IL. Evelyn is preceded in death by her mother, 1 son, Bill Lee, 1 Brother and 1 son-in-law Joseph Roberts, Sr. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Wilson's Funeral Home Ava, with Rev. Clayton Yoakum and Rev. Wilson McWherter officiating. Burial will follow at Ava Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava on Monday where friends may call from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 7:30am to 11am. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or a Love Fund for the family
