STEELEVILLE, Evelyn K. Fuhrhop, 89, of Steeleville, passed away at 6:18 P.M. Tuesday, November 02, 2010, at Three Springs Lodge in Chester, IL. Evelyn was born July 14, 1921 in Hoyalton, Illinois the daughter of Otto Kasten and Olinda (Holle) Kasten. Evelyn married Orville W. "Butch" Fuhrhop on December 14, 1940 in Maryland Heights, MO. Orville passed away on June 6, 1978. Evelyn was the retired owner of the Randolph Monument Co. in Steeleville, IL. Evelyn was a very active member having held several office of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville. She was also a member of the B.B.K. American Legion Auxiliary Post #480 in Steeleville; Pinochle and bridge clubs; and Steeleville Senior Citizens. Evelyn is survived by one son, Dennis (Nancy) Fuhrhop of Centralia, IL; one daughter, Linda (Gary) Barnes of Steeleville, IL; grandchildren, Michele (David) Popen, Michael Fuhrhop (John Tanner), Mark (Sarah) Barnes, and Matthew Barnes; great grandchildren, Sophia Popen, Lauren Popen, Luca DiTillio and Mason Barnes. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Stanley Kasten. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville with Rev. Dr. Alan W. Janneke officiating. Burial will be at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Friday from 5 to 8 pm and on Saturday from 7:30 am until 11 am and on Saturday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville from Noon to 1 pm. Memorials may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
