PERCY – Evelyn L. DesRocher, 92, of Sparta, and formerly of Percy, passed away at 5:28, PM, Monday, December 3, 2018, at Randolph County Care Center in Sparta.
Evelyn was born in Cutler, Illinois, on March 30, 1926, the daughter of Edward and Emma Gerlach Kueker. She married Eugene "Turk" DesRocher on June 15, 1946 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill. She was a Homemaker and Retired Cook from Trico School District. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Steeleville.
Evelyn is survived by her husband, Eugene "Turk" DesRocher of Sparta; three daughters, Phyllis (Jim) Hayes of Sparta, Janice DesRocher Barbour of Sparta and Kim (Danny) Wesbecher of Steeleville; grandchildren, Michael (Julie) Hayes, Catina (Tim) McDonald, Jennifer Barbour, Laura (Jeremy) Thies, Jonathan (Logan Blind) Barbour, Danyele (Dustin) Heiple and Dylan Wesbecher; seven great grandchildren.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her Parents; one grandson, Aaron Deppe; two sisters and two brothers.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm, Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville with Minister Deb Rathert, officiating. Burial will follow at Percy Village Cemetery, Percy, Illinois. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 11 am until 1 pm Sunday. Memorials may be given to Peace Lutheran Church Memorial Fund or Vitas Hospice.
