WALSH - Evangeline D. Wahlman, 91, of Walsh, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2015, at the Three Springs Lodge in Chester. Evangeline was born in Walsh, IL on March 9, 1924, the daughter of Everett D. and Frieda Beckman Rieckenberg. She married Ray M. Wahlman on June 24, 1950 in Chester. He preceded her in death on May 20, 1993. Evangeline was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville; St. Mark's Priscilla Club; B.B.K. American Legion Auxiliary Post #480, Steeleville; and the Kaskaskia VFW Auxiliary #3553, Chester. She was a Homemaker. Evangeline is survived by her son, Alan (Ruth) Wahlman of Walsh; daughter-in-law, Grace Wahlman of Chester; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and three sisters, Marlene Edwards of Walsh, Donna Weiser of Walsh, and Alice Gamble of Walsh. Evangeline was also preceded in death by her Parents; one son, Randy; seven brothers; and three sisters. Funeral service will held at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 6, 2015 at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville with Rev. Timothy Lanbskroener officiating. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 5 pm until 8 pm Friday and on Saturday from 9 am until 10 am at the church. Memorials may be given to St. Mark's Lutheran Church or Donor's Choice.
