STEELEVILLE - Eunice M. Kober, 91, of Steeleville, passed away at 6:30 pm, Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at the Three Springs Lodge in Chester. Eunice was born in Chester, Illinois on August 1, 1922, the daughter of Frederick William and Clara Allmeyer Buenger. She married John Kober on June 8, 1946 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Chester, Illinois. He preceded her in death on May 7, 2013. She was a Homemaker and was a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville. Eunice is survived by two sons, Kenneth (Donna) Kober of Collinsville, IL and Michael (Susan) Kober of Collinsville, IL; two daughters, Judy Mevert of Steeleville and Donna (Robert) Niedringhaus of Manchester, MO; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. Eunice was also preceded in death by her Parents and One Brother, William R. Buenger, Jr. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 7, 2013, at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville with Rev. Dr. Alan W. Janneke officiating. Burial will follow at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Chester. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 5 pm to 8 pm Friday and on Saturday from 7:30 am until 9 am then from 10 am until 11 am at the church. Memorials may be given to St. Mark's Lutheran School Roof Fund.
