Ethel "Louise" Wilson Jackson, 79, of Ava, passed away at 3:50 am, Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at the St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro. Louise was born in Shannon County, Missouri, on November 30, 1934, the daughter of Moses and Eunice Wood Bland. She married Bill D. Wilson on April 26, 1952 in Monterey, California. He preceded her in death on September 8, 1998. She then married Leroy Jackson on November 30, 2003 at the Pleasant Hill Christian Church, Murphysboro. Louise retired from the Jewelry Department at Mills Dist., Murphysboro. Louise is survived by three sons, Gary (Karen) Wilson of Millstadt, IL, Stan (Patti) Wilson of DuQuoin, IL, and Billy (Lori) Wilson of Ava; one daughter, Sondra (Patrick) Irwin of Dallas, TX; 11 grandchildren, Candice Bennett, Tiffany Milton, Tanya Young, Erin Miles, Jaime Lodge, Derek Wilson, Chad Wilson, Gabrielle Moniger, Gannon Wilson, Parker Irwin and Jackson Irwin; 13 great grandchildren; one step son, Michael (Janet) Jackson of Patterson, MO; three step grandchildren, Daniel Jackson, Jennifer Jackson and David Jackson; and four sisters, Virginia Forster of Ellington, MO, Elizabeth Griffith of Gilman City, MO, Joyce Judd of Ellington, MO, and Bessie Ferguson of Salt Lake City, UT. Louise was also preceded in death by her Parents; one infant daughter; and two brothers, James Bland and Carl Bland. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, September 5, 2014 at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava with Rev. Robert Boyett officiating. Burial will follow in Ava Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call from 11 am until 2 pm Friday. Memorials may be given to Ava Missionary Baptist Church.
