AVA – Ethel June Modglin, 79, of Ava, passed away Monday, July 5, 2021, at Memorial Hospital, Carbondale, Illinois.

Ethel was born May 19, 1942, in St. Louis, MO,  to Leonard and Mary Arban Miller.  She was raised by her Aunt Peggy Knipping.  Ethel married Francis Scott Modglin, on November 25, 1967, in St. Louis, MO.  He preceded her in death on May 4, 2018.  Ethel was a homemaker.

Ethel is survived by her children; Brian Scott (Jami) Modglin of Ava, Warren Lee (Melissa) Modglin of Ava, Thomas (Teri)Wilhite of Ava, and Jeanette White of St. Louis, MO.  She had ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Ethel is also preceded in death by her parents and one grandson.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, July 9, 2021, at Ava Evergreen Cemetery, Ava.  Burial to follow.  Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association and can be mailed to Wilson's Funeral Home, P.O.
