HIGHLAND, Ethel Michaelis, 54, of Highland, formerly of Cutler, passed away at 10:20 AM Friday, July 10, 2015, at her home in Highland, Illinois. She was born June 14, 1961 in St. Louis, Missouri the daughter of Lloyd and Eileen (Wilson) Keller. Ethel married Joseph R. Michaelis on April 7, 1999 in Memphis, TN. Ethel was a homemaker. She was a member of the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Highland and the Highland Historical Society. She is survived by her: husband: Joseph R. Michaelis, Highland, IL; Step Children: Angela Heise, Springfield, IL, Amy Watts, Troy, IL and Andrea Michaelis, Highland, IL; 8 Step Grandchildren and Siblings: Larry Diamond, Margaret Vicrenberg, Janice Taylor, Lawrence Diamond, Lueva Farris and Lloyd Keller. Ethel is preceded in death by her parents and 1 daughter, Christina Lynn Germann. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 6:00 PM at Wilson's Funeral Home Percy, Illinois with Rev. Christopher Hill officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday, where friends may call from 4 to 6pm. There will also be a memorial service on July 31, 2015 at 11:00AM at the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Highland with Rev,. Christopher Hill officiating.
