STEELEVILLE - Ethel M. Joost, 86, passed away at 11:22 am, Friday, February 4, 2011 at the Sparta Community Hospital in Sparta, IL. Ethel was born on November 21, 1924 in Steelevile, IL the daughter of William and Hulda Mevert Joost. Ethel was retired from Gilster Mary-Lee Corp. She was a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville. Ethel is survived by two brothers, Norlan Joost of Culpepper, NC and Delbert Joost of Steeleville, IL; one sister, Talitha Ohlau of Steeleville, IL; four nieces and one nephew; six great nieces and two great nephews; and four great great nieces and one great great nephew. She was preceded in death by her Parents and One Sister. Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm, Sunday, February 6, 2011 at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville, with Rev. Dr. Alan W. Janneke officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery in Steeleville. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville where friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Saturday and on Sunday from 7:30 am until 11 am then from Noon to 1 pm at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
