PERCY, Esther Wolters, 93, of Percy, passed away at 4:45 AM Friday, November 30, 2012, at her home in Percy, Illinois. She was born August 25, 1919 in Steeleville, Illinois the daughter of Martin and Dora (Alms) Inselmann. Esther married Arnold L. Wolters in Wine Hill, IL on April 17, 1938. He preceded her in death on January 14, 1995. Esther is survived by her: 3 sons: Delbert (Tina) Wolters, Wingo, KY; Willard (Sue) Wolters, Red Bud, IL, Paul (Emma) Wolters, Percy, IL; daughter: Paula (Larry) Owen, Steeleville, IL; also 11 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. Esther is preceded in death by her Parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, 1 granddaughter and 2 great grandsons. Esther was a homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, canning and working in her vegetable and flower gardens. She enjoyed making apple and peach butter. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville. Esther was also an avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 3, 2012 at 1:00 PM at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville, Illinois with Rev. Dr. Alan W. Janneke officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mark's Cemetery, Steeleville, IL. Visitation will be at St. Mark's Lutheran Church on Sunday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday at the church from 7:30am till the time of the service.
