STEELEVILLE, Erwin C. Wolters, 91, of Coulterville, formerly of Steeleville, passed away at 8:18 P.M. Sunday, May 22, 2011, at Coulterville Care Center in Coulterville, IL. He was born August 12, 1919 in Steeleville, Illinois the son of Herman Wolters and Lena (Doeding) Wolters. Erwin married Norma Brueggemann on November 20, 1943 in Steeleville, IL. He is survived by his wife Norma Wolters of Coulterville, IL; one brother-in-law: Gilmer Brueggemann of Coulterville, IL; two sisters-in-law: Esther Wolters of Percy, IL and Delores Doss of Coulterville, IL and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister. Mr. Wolters was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville, IL and the Steeleville Sportsman Club. He was a farmer. Memorial service will be held Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville. Rev. Dr. Alan W. Janneke will be officiating. Burial will be at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville, IL. Visitation will be on Saturday from Noon to 1pm at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville. Memorials may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
