Obituary
PERCY – Eric A. Harber, 50, of Percy, passed away at 12:35 AM, Thursday, December 7, 2017, at the Memorial Hospital in Chester.
Eric was born on October 29, 1967, in Carthage, Illinois, the son of Michael and Rebecca (Gillenwater) Harber. He married Denise Reeves, on March 15, 1997, in Chester. He worked for the Warex Company, at various coal mines in the area. Mr. Harber was of the Methodist faith.
Eric is survived by his wife; Denise Harber, of Percy, sons; Michael J. (Rebecca) Harber, of Percy and Edmund R. Harber, of Shiloh Hill, 2 grandsons; Payton and Jasper, he is also survived by his parents; Michael and Rebecca Harber, of Sanford, Florida, 2 sisters; Michele (Dwayne) Thurston, of Sheffield, Illinois, and Kristina Harbor, of Sanford, Florida, and a maternal grandmother; Mary Gillenwater, of Macomb, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, and maternal grandfather.
Memorial service will be held at 1 PM, Monday, December 11, 2017, at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville, with Rev. Stephen Duncan officiating, and burial will follow at the Percy Village Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM, Monday at the funeral home.
