STEELEVILLE, Emma Dierks, 93, of Steeleville, passed away at 3:55 A.M. Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St, Louis, MO. She was born February 18, 1917 in Red Bud, Illinois the daughter of Henry Voss and Emma (Block) Voss. Emma married Albert Dierks on June 21, 1936 in West Point, IL. Albert passed away on March 13, 1987. She is survived by her children: Carolyn Fritsche of Steeleville, IL, Carl and Beulah Dierks of Ava, IL, Florine Liefer of Plano, TX, Roy and Nancy Dierks of Percy, IL. Gerald and Nancy Dierks of Caseyville, IL, Lester and Alma Dierks of Ava, IL, and Denise and Delbert Ernsting of Percy, IL; eighteen grandchildren and Eighteen great grandchildren; sister: Nelda Peters of Olathe, KS. Emma is preceded in death by her husband Albert, her parents, four brothers, five sisters, one son-in-law, Melvin Fritsche. She was a homemaker in her own home and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, West Point, IL where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She also was involved in the Immanuel Lutheran Ladies Aid and LWML. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in West Point. Rev. Tim Zechiel will be officiating. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Friday from 5 to 8pm and then on Saturday from 7:30 to 9 am then 10 to 11am at the church. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Maintenance Fund.
