EVANSVILLE – Emma Lois Bower Taylor, 86, of Evansville, Illinois, formerly of Ava, Illinois, passed away at 6:59 pm, Thursday, January 12, 2017 at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro.
Emma Lois was born in Ava, Illinois on July 31, 1930, the daughter of Grover L. and Gladys R. Talbott Bower. She was a retired Factory Worker.
Emma Lois is survived by her son, Lester Taylor of Oregon, IL and her daughter, Evelyn Knight of Evansville, IL; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three brothers, John Bower of Cape Girardeau, MO, Glen Bower of Ava, and Steve Bower of Ava; two sisters, Carolyn Rogers of Colorado Springs, CO and Vivian Franklin of Farmington, MO.
She was preceded in death by her Parents; one daughter; three sons; two sisters; and one great grandson.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, January 16, 2017 at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava with Rev. William Stoklosa officiating. Burial will follow at Bower Cemetery, Ava, Illinois. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call from 5 pm until 8 pm Sunday and on Monday from 7:30 am until 1 pm. Memorials may be given to Bower Cemetery.
