PERCY - Elmer N. "Nolan" Smith, 59, of Percy, passed away at 4:51 pm, Wednesday, January 2, 2013 in Percy, IL. He was born in Chester, IL on August 17, 1953, the son of Murry and Annie Carpenter Smith. He was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church, Steeleville and was a store clerk. Nolan is survived by his brothers and sisters, William (Regina) Smith of Percy, Dr. Robert (Beverly) Smith of Ava, Doyla (Marty) Calafell of Miami, FL, Murry (Jennifer) Smith of Sparta, IL, Renee (James) Keller of Hubert, NC, Garlan (Janelle) Thomas of Rose Bud, MO, Marlin Thomas of Washington, MO; host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Sunday, January 6, 2013 at the Wilson's Funeral Home, Percy, with Rev. Cletus Zimmerman officiating. Burial will follow in Peace Lutheran Cemetery in Steeleville. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Percy, where friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Saturday and on Sunday from 7:30 am until the hour of service.
