AVA - Eileen E. Hamilton, 87, of Ava, passed away at 11:59 pm, Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the Memorial Hospital in Chester. Eileen was born February 20, 1924 in Gorham, IL the daughter of Edward and Hulda Heitmann Heins. She married Archie C. Hamilton on May 10, 1947 at Christ Lutheran Church, Jacob. He preceded her in death on May 12, 2010. Eileen was a homemaker. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church, Jacob and the B.B.K. American Legion Auxiliary Post #480, Steeleville. Eileen is survived by three sons, Kenneth (Carol) Hamilton of Steeleville; Glenn (Meindy) Hamilton of Sesser, IL; and Don (Julie) Hamilton of Ava; and five grandchildren, Kimberly (Travis) Graff, Douglas (Keri) Hamilton, Dustin Hamilton, Kelly Hamilton and Kayla Hamilton. Eileen was also preceded in death by her Parents; three brothers; and three sisters. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at the Christ Lutheran Church, Jacob with Rev. Mike Kettner officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Chester. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call from 4 to 8 pm Tuesday and on Wednesday from 7:30 am until 9 am then from 10 to 11 at the church. Memorials may be given to Christ Lutheran School.
