STEELEVILLE – Edwin H. Lakeman, 92, of Steeleville passed away at 10:43 AM, Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at the Three Springs Lodge in Chester.
Edwin was born on May 6, 1924, in Steeleville the son of Christopher and Alvina (Doeding) Lakeman. He was a retired janitor, and a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Steeleville.
Edwin is survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, November 26, 2016 at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville with Rev. S. Blake Duncan officiating and burial will follow at the Steeleville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday morning at the funeral home where friends may call from 9 to 11 AM. Memorials may be made to the Peace Lutheran Church.
