STEELEVILLE – Edward "Mike" Draves, 68, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Three Springs Lodge in Chester, IL.

Mike was born on September 18, 1954, the son of Edward D. and Mary (Mansker) Draves. He married Ruth Kipp on May 17, 1980, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Chester, Illinois. Mike retired from Gilster Mary Lee as an over the road truck driver. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville, IL.

Mike is survived by his wife, Ruth Draves of Steeleville, IL, his children: Jim (Amanda) Draves of Chester, IL, Amy (Everett) Grant of Steeleville, IL; his grandchildren: Teagan, Colton, Hayden, Isaac, Adeline, Cayden, and Logan; his mother-in-law, Frances Kipp, his sister, Cheryll Marcinkowska of Chester, IL, and several nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his Parents, father-in-law, James Kipp, and one Brother-in-law, Bill Marcinkowska.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at 11:00 am, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL, with Rev. Mark Harriss officiating. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville, IL. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL, where friends may call from 6 -8 pm, on Monday, July 31, 2023, and on Tuesday, 7:30 am until time of service.
