STEELEVILLE – Edna D. Kothe, 98, of Steeleville, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 9:42 am, at the Memorial Hospital in Chester, Illinois.
Edna was born in Campbell Hill, Illinois on August 22, 1917, the daughter of Herman and Emma Bense David. She married Elmer H. Kothe on September 22, 1936 in Murphysboro. He preceded her in death on October 16, 1985. She was a Homemaker and was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville.
Edna is survived by one son, Loren Kothe of Chester; three grandsons, Terry (Sherri) Kothe of Chester, Gary (Jeana) Kothe of Chester and Steven (Tammy) Kothe of Chester; one great grandson, Clayton; and one sister, Esther Plinovich of Portage, IN.
Edna was also preceded in death by her Parents and three brothers.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, April 11, 2016 at the Paradise Cemetery in Steeleville with Rev. Kelly C. Bedard officiating. Memorials may be given to St. John's Lutheran School in Chester.
