SPARTA, Edna K. Heine, 91, of Sparta, passed away at 5:55 A.M. Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at Coulterville Care Center in Coulterville, IL. She was born August 16, 1918 in Eden, Illinois the daughter of Henry Kraft and Mary (Meyer) Kraft. She married Antony E. Heine on October 23, 1943 in Sparta, Illinois. He passed away on May 23, 2009. Edna along with her husband Antony, owned and operated the Western Auto Store in Sparta, IL; she was also a member of the Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Sparta, IL. She is survived by her children: Rita and Michael Basco of Manchester, MO; Mary and Ron McNutt of Mt. Carmel, IL; grandchildren: Gregory and Ana Basco of Guadalupe, Costa Rica; Teresa and Devon Hill of St. Louis, MO; Laura McNutt of Mt. Carmel, IL; three great grandchildren: Joshua and Christopher Basco of Guadalupe, Costa Rica, Riley Hill of St. Louis, MO; nieces: Carol Knupp of Phoenix, AZ, Elisabeth Lemons of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Roberta Morgan of Sparta, IL; nephew: Norman Heine of St. Charles, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, one infant son Thomas Herman Heine, one brother, William Kraft and two sisters, Bessie Carter and Mabel Heine. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 4, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Sparta, Illinois. Rev. Lawrence Mariasoosai, O.M.I. will be officiating. Burial will be at Caledonia Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 3, 2009 from 6 to 7:30 pm at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Sparta, Illinois, with rosary being held at 7:30 pm, then on Friday from 9 till the hour of service at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Wilson's Funeral Home of Steeleville, IL. Memorials may be made to Masses.
