Edith Sharon Griffiths, nee McKenzie, was called home to her heavenly reward on July 26, 2024. She is reunited with her beloved husband, Jack, of 66 years, her mother, and both of her sisters.

Sharon was born on November 12, 1939, to Leona and Roy McKenzie. She married Jackie Dean Griffiths on November 23, 1958, and he was the love of her life until December 17, 2023, when he went home to be with the Lord. She was a member of the Tri-County First Pentecostal Church of Cutler, IL, for 54 years. She worked as a Home Health Aide and was devoted to all her patients. In her younger years, she loved participating in the Sheaved for Christ Walk-A-Thon, and she boldly got her sponsors and walked in the heat for 20 miles. When it was later changed to just 12 miles, she was disappointed because she felt like she had to work hard for it. She had a wonderful sense of humor, always making people laugh.

Sharon was a loving and devoted mother to Chris (Debbie) Griffiths of Mayfield, Ky, Robin Griffiths of Chester, IL, and Shari (Bob) Hopkins of Sparta, IL. She was blessed with 5 grandchildren: Holly (Jason) Cork, Adam Conway, Zachary (Sarah) Hopkins, Nicholas (Jenny) Hopkins, Logan Hopkins; and 6 great grandchildren: Hannah Doland, Alexis Cork, Sydney Cork, Greyson Cork, Declan Hopkins, and Emmalee Hopkins.

Sharon was so loved by all those who knew her and will be greatly missed.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at the Landmark Apostolic Church, Sparta, IL, with a visitation from 11:00 – 12:00, and a Memorial Celebration at 12:00 pm, Brother Rice officiating.
