PERCY – Eddy Dean Mathews, 63, of Percy, IL, passed away Monday, October 3, 2022, at his home in Percy, Illinois.

Eddy was born September 26, 1959, in Waukegan, IL, the son of Norman E. Mathews and T. Ruth (Church) Smith.

Eddy is survived by his mother T. Ruth Smith of Percy, IL, his children: Shannon Lynn Bridges of Sioux Falls, SD, Tommy (Britany) Tomasiewicz of Stonefort, IL, Nicolas D. Mathews of Percy, IL; grandchildren: McKenzey, Brentley, and Haylie; siblings: Joy (John) Underdown of Marion, IL, Larry (Kathy) Mathews, Sandy (Scott) Reiman of Campbell Hill, IL, Donna (Wayne) Carroll of Mt. Vernon, IN, and John Jr. (Sharon) Smith of Willisville, IL.

Eddy is preceded in death by his father, Norman Mathews and stepfather John Smith, Sr.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL, with Rev. Zach Furlong officiating. Burial to follow at Cutler City Cemetery, Cutler, IL. Friends may call from 11 – 1 pm. Memorials may be given to a Love Fund for Funeral Expenses and can be mailed to Wilson's Funeral Home, P.O.
