CHESTER, Earl D. Wilson, 85, of Chester, passed away at 3:08 AM Monday, December 12, 2011, at Randolph County Care Center in Sparta, Illinois. He was born October 13, 1926 in Ellis Grove, Illinois the son of Albert Wilson and Alma (Diercks) Wilson. Earl married Esther Dierks on Wednesday, October 24, 1951 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, West Point, IL. He is survived by his wife: Esther Wilson of Chester, IL; daughter: Cheryl and Mike Salger of Willisville, IL; son: Kevin and Lisa Wilson of Steeleville, IL; two grandsons: Jeffrey and Christopher Wilson of Steeleville; brothers: Melvin Wilson of Steeleville, IL , Edgar Wilson of Chester, IL , Delbert Wilson of Arnold, MO; sisters: Alberta Ruebke of Percy, IL , Maydell Ernsting of Inverness, FL, Darlene Lohman of Red Bud, IL. Earl is preceded in death by his parents. Earl was retired from World Color Press in Sparta, IL. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Steeleville, IL, B.B.K. American Legion Post#480 Steeleville, IL, Randolph County Farm Bureau and The Pressman Union #383. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Peace Lutheran Church, Steeleville, Illinois. Rev. S. Blake Duncan will be officiating. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville, IL. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and then on Thursday from 7:30 to 9am and then at the church from 10 to 11am. American Legion Service will be on Wednesday at 8pm under the auspices of the B.B.K. American Legion Post #480, Steeleville, IL. Memorials may be made to Peace Lutheran Church.
