PERCY – Dwayne A. Welty, 62, of Percy, IL, passed away Monday, August 29, 2022, at his home in Percy, Illinois.

Dwayne was born February 28, 1960, in Pinckneyville, IL, to Kenneth and Dorothy (Reuscher) Welty. Dwayne was retired from Henson's Septic Service and the U.S. Navy; he was a very proud Navy Seal.

Dwayne is survived by his daughter, Megan (Nathan "Jake") Carson of Percy, IL, several grandchildren, sisters: Sally (Daniel) Clark of Murphysboro, IL, Marsha (Kevin) Abernathy of San Antonio, TX; several nieces and nephews, several great nieces and great nephews.

Dwayne is preceded in death by his parents, son, Samuel, brothers: Charles and Keith Welty; and a sister, Debra Welty.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, September 5, 2022, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL, with Rev. Philip Easton officiating. Friends may call from 10 – 11 am.
