SPARTA, Douglas B. Wiltshire, 53, of Sparta, passed away at 10:35 PM Sunday, March 9, 2014, at home in Sparta, Illinois. Doug was under the care of Hospice of Southern Illinois. He was born October 4, 1960 in Santa Anna, California the son of Robert and Judith Wiltshire. Doug was a graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and he attended Rend Lake College. He was a laborer and a musician and he was of the Catholic Faith. Doug enjoyed spending time with his family and loved his step-father, "DAD" George Gale. He enjoyed music, playing his guitar and writing songs. Doug enjoyed his cats, Itty and Missy. Doug always had a bouquet of roses for his mother. He is survived by his: mother: Judith Gale and dad, George Gale of Sparta; bother Bret (Kathy) Gale; 2 nieces, Alex and Bailey Gale. Doug is preceded in death by his father, Robert Wiltshire. Doug's wishes were to be cremated. There will be a private family service at a later date.
