STEELEVILLE – Dorothy F. Seemann, 87, of Perryville, MO, formerly of Steeleville, IL, passed away at 2:43 am, Friday, September 1, 2023, at Independence Care Center in Perryville, MO.

Dorothy was born in Chester, Illinois, on April 22, 1936, the daughter of Martin and Dora Hartmann Rurode. She married Harold Seemann on June 8, 1957, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1996. She was retired from Gilster Mary-Lee Corp., Steeleville. Dorothy was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville. She was an avid Quilter and also enjoyed sewing.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Dinah (Roger) Kaempfe of Frohna, MO, Anita (Donnie) Zoch of Giddings, TX; 5 grandchildren, Kaity Zoch (Allen Ach), Kayanne Zoch, Robert Zoch, Carrie (Samuel) Clifton, Jared (Courtney) Kaempfe; and sister, Mildred Kingsten of Coulterville.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her Parents; and three brothers, Ernest, Clarence and Edward.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville, with Rev. Mark Harriss officiating. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 5 pm until 8 pm Monday and on Tuesday from 9 am until 10 am at the church.
