STEELEVILLE, Dorothy L. Middendorf, 87, of Steeleville, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at Sparta Community Hospital in Sparta, Illinois. She was born January 9, 1928 in Steeleville, Illinois the daughter of Walter and Alvena (Wolters) Weaver. Dorothy married Orlie H. Middendorf on May 30, 1952 in Steeleville, IL. He preceded her in death on October 30, 1989. Dorothy was a homemaker and a Secretary at the International Shoe Company in Steeleville. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville and the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 3553 in Chester, IL. She is survived by her Nephew: Glen (Mary Jo) Weaver, Seminole, FL; Nieces: Jennifer (Jason) Lausen, Brookfield, FL and Kathy (Norman) Nissing, Winter Park, FL. She is also survived by several great Nieces and Nephews. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, 1 daughter, Cynthia Lynn, 1 brother and sister-in-law Ralph (Lattia) Weaver. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Mark's Lutheran Church Steeleville, Illinois with Rev. Kelly C. Bedard officiating. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville, IL. Visitation will be at St. Mark's Lutheran Church on Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Memorials may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran School.
