WILLISVILLE, Dorothy E. Corroney, 79, of Willisville, passed away at 9:10 P.M. Friday, January 09, 2009, at Marshall Browning Hospital in DuQuoin, IL. Dorothy was born May 13, 1929 in Jackson County, Illinois the daughter of George Glass and Edythe (Quillman) Glass Snider. She married Joseph L. Corroney on January 18, 1948 in Chester, IL. Dorothy was a member of the Denmark Baptist Church, Cutler. Dorothy is survived by her husband Joseph L. Corroney of Willisville; one daughter, Nancee (Daniel) Holder of Cutler; one granddaughter, Carrie (Matthew) Colvis of Chester, IL; and one great grandson, Ethan Colvis of Chester, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville with Rev. Ralph Brandon officiating. Burial will follow in Cutler Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Monday from 5 to 8 pm and on Tuesday from 7:30 am until 11 am. Memorials may be made to Denmark Baptist Church.
