MCCLURE - Dorothy W. Bunch, 89 of McClure, IL, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Liberty Village in Maryville, IL. Dorothy was born in Ava, IL on September 16, 1923, the daughter of John A. and Maude Hicks Wilson. She married William David Bunch on March 20, 1945 at Ava, IL. He preceded her in death on May 9, 1995. Dorothy was a retired civil servant from Scott Air Force Base. Dorothy is survived by one son, William A. Bunch of Caseyville, IL; four daughters, Mariam S. (Larry) Fredericks of Highland, IL, Patricia J. (Edward) Lemanski of Collinsville, IL, Dolores A. (Bill) Strubel of Manchester, MO, and Cecilia M. (Gene) Leffler of Collinsville, IL; 8 grandchildren, Marcus Frederick, Sarah Ferguson, Benjamin Leffler, Abigail Leffler, Christopher Leffler, Racheal Lemanski, Andy Strubel, and Brad Strubel; and 6 great grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death her Parents; her brother, Glen Wilson; sisters, Helen Killion, Marjorie Shawcross and Virginia Vancil; and two infant brothers, Aaron Edward Wilson and John Hicks Wilson. Mom was a kind, generous and loving woman who enjoyed family, gardening and was always considered an excellent cook. She would want all her family; nieces, nephews, sister-in-law, great nieces and great nephews to know she loved and cherish you all. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava with Rev. Blu Berner officiating. Burial will follow in Ava Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call from 11 am to 1 pm Tuesday. The preferred form of remembrance are memorials to Hospice of Southern Illinois of the Alzheimer's Association.
