TAYLORVILLE- Dorothea L. "Dot" Schutte, 89, of Taylorville, IL passed away on June 21, 2010 at 2:40 pm at the Taylorville Care Center in Taylorville. Dot was born April 10, 1921 to Lee James and Edna May (Snyder) Poston in Campbell Hill, IL. She married Albert C. Achutte on July 29, 1940 in St. Charles, MO. He passed away on August 11, 1982. She was a retired Speech Therapist for Taylorville Community School District, having received her degree from Southern Illinois University. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylorville, IL as well at the ADK Teachers Sorority. Dorothea loved her family, church, friends, teaching children, traveling, spending winters in Texas and the Local Camping Club. She is survived by her sons: Robert and Kay Schutte of Apple Valley MN., John and Linda Schutte of Carmel, IN.; daughter: Mary Ann and Dennis Breski of Jacksonville, FL.; grandchildren: Erika Schutte, Chad Schutte, Jaime Schutte, Beth Schutte, and Melissa Schutte; several nieces and nephews; brother in law: Marvin and Barbara Lampe of Campbell Hill, IL, sister in laws: Marjorie Lampe of Campbell Hill, IL, Frances Bollman of Bloomington, IL, Eileen and Paul Tegtmeyer of Steeleville, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Ruth Farrar. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 24, 2010 from 5 to 7pm at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville, IL. Funeral Services will be on Friday, June 25, 2010 at 10:30 am at Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylorville, IL with Pastor Rodney Blomquist officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Campbell Hill, IL on Friday, June 25, 2010 at 4:30 pm. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylorville, IL.
