CAMPBELL HILL – Doris Ellen Lunsford, 87, of St. Louis, MO, formerly of Campbell Hill, passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 in St. Louis.
Doris was born on February 18, 1931, in Ava, the daughter of William and Ola M. Nelson Beisner. She grew up with a large family in Logan Hollow. She went to Gorham High School and there she met her future husband, Harold Dean Lunsford. They were married on November 25, 1950 in Murphysboro. He preceded her in death on May 2, 2014. Doris was a housewife and used her skills to run the household and raise two children while her husband was busy working on the railroad. Doris and Harold lived in Cahokia for more than 35 years. After retiring, they eventually moved to Campbell Hill, to live the quiet life.
Doris is survived by her children, Diane Ennor and Harold D. (Lisa) Lunsford, Jr.; grandchildren, Michael T. Ennor, Brandy (Chris) Lunsford-Kirk, Matthew B. Ennor, Natalie G. Lunsford; great grandchildren, Austin M. Ennor, Wyatt Kirk, Ella Kirk and Alaina Kirk; siblings, Alma White, Jim (Helen) Beisner, Billie Ruth (Gordon) Gale, Raymond (Grace) Beisner, Donna (Ron) Stone, Connie Morber, Lester Beisner and Dale Beisner; and many nieces and nephews.
Doris was also preceded in death by her Parents; brothers, Bob Beisner and Gary Beisner; grandchildren, Michelle Dawn Ennor and Shawn Trevor Ennor; and son-in-law, Joseph M. Ennor.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, with Rev. William Stoklosa officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park, Murphysboro. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call from 10 am until 11 am. Memorials may be given to Heartland Hospice.
