MURPHYSBORO – Doris Fay Johnson, 82, of Murphysboro, IL, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Three Springs Lodge, Chester, Illinois.

Doris was born April 6, 1943, in Murphysboro, IL to Harry and Alice (Derickson) Reiman. She married Lester E. Johnson on March 21, 1969, in Granite City, IL. He preceded her in death on April 23, 2008. Doris was a homemaker and attended Pate Chapel Church in Murphysboro.

Doris is survived by her children: Marc (Jennifer) Johnson of Murphysboro, IL, Erica (Scott) Shannon of Ava, IL; her grandchildren: Nathan, Jessica, Stephanie, Allison; and several great grandchildren, her sisters; Joyce Wright of Vergennes, IL, Delphine Kinder of Murphysboro, IL; her nieces and nephews: DeeDee Winters, Kurt Winters, Iris Fowler, Jeff Kinder and Zebada Brown.

Doris was also preceded in death by her parents.

Doris's wishes were for Cremation, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
