MURPHYSBORO – Doris Ann Bastien, 86, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at her home in Murphysboro, IL.

Doris was born on October 29, 1936, the daughter of Everett and Evelyn (House) Fielding. She married Freddie Bastien, Jr., on February 20, 1954, in Murphysboro, IL. Doris was a retired Bus Driver from Trico School District after 22 years of service. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Church, Murphysboro, IL.

Doris is survived by her husband, Freddie Bastien, Jr. of Murphysboro, IL, her children: Linda Sue (Daniel) Tondini of Marion, IL, Kathy Bastien Easton of Murphysboro, IL, Randy (Diana) Bastien of Murphysboro, IL, Ronnie (Buffie) Bastien of Murphysboro, IL, Roger, (Deanne) Bastien of Oklahoma; her 19 grandchildren, her 39 great grandchildren, and her sister, Margaret Hoppe of Murphysboro, IL.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023, at 11:00 am, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, IL, with Pastor Roger Bastien officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Murphysboro, IL. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, IL, where friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Thursday, and on Friday from 7:30 am until hour of service.
