STEELEVILLE – Donna M. Wasson, 74, of Steeleville, passed away at 12:35 PM Friday, August 19, 2016 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Donna was born on June 29, 1942 in Red Bud, IL the daughter of William J. and Rose M. (Voss) Muench. She married Harold W. Wasson, Sr. on September 2, 1976 in Chester, IL, and he preceded her in death on December 9, 1978. Donna was retired from DORMA Manufacturing in Steeleville. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville, BBK American Legion Auxiliary Post 480 of Steeleville, former member of the Steeleville Library District, and the machinist union.

Donna is survived by her children; Scott Hohgrefe of Marshfield, MO, Stephanie and Dale Diercks of Steeleville, Shannon Hohgrefe and friend Becky, of Bremen, and Chip and Christy Wasson of Steeleville. Grandchildren; Joey Hohgrefe, Melissa Hohgrefe, Josh Diercks, Lacey Diercks, Jesse Hohgrefe, Tori Leggans, Claire Wasson, Carter Wasson and Cooper Wasson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter in law; Tammy Hohgrefe.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM, Monday, August 22, 2016 at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville with Rev. Kelly C. Bedard officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday evening at the funeral home where friends may call from 5 – 8 PM, and on Monday from 7:30 until the hour of service. Memorials may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
