AVA – Donna L. Prowell, 55, of Ava, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Donna was born in Carbondale, Illinois, on February 12, 1963, the daughter of Robert Lawrence and Martha Agnes Adams Furlow. She married Joseph D. Prowell on November 29, 1985 at Pinckneyville, Illinois. Donna was of the Baptist Faith. She worked at the Shawnee Dental Clinic in Carbondale.
Donna is survived by her husband, Joseph D. Prowell of Ava; children, Jennifer (Adam) Hagene of Pinckneyville and Joseph D. (Elizabeth) Prowell, Jr. of Benton, IL; grandchildren, Wyatt R. Prowell, Lauren A. Hagene, Aubrey R. Woolsey, Ryder J. Hagene and another on the way, Kaleb L. Prowell; siblings, Sharon (Jim) Keller of Dixon, IL, Roberta (Gary) Michaels of Cobden, IL, Barbara Dailey of Anna, IL, and Robert (Cathy) Furlow, Jr. of Cobden, IL.
Donna was preceded in death by her Parents and one sister, Brenda Roach.
Funeral service will at 11:00 am, Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at the Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, with Rev. Mitchell Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Ava Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call from 5 pm until 8 pm on Tuesday and on Wednesday from 7:30 am until 11:00 am. Memorials may be given to a Love Fund for The Family.
