STEELEVILLE – Donna Jungewaelter, 90, of Steeleville and formerly of Chester passed away at 6:40 PM, Sunday, June 3, 2018, at the Three Springs Lodge in Chester.
Donna was born on January 29, 1938, in Chester, the daughter of Alfred and Pearl (Mehrer) Durkee. She married Johnnie Jungewaelter, on December 5, 1992, in Chester, and they shared 5 years of marriage before he preceded her in death in November of 1998. Donna was retired from Dr. Wolz, DDS, office in Chester. She was a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville.
She is survived by her grandchildren; Jason (Jeanna Mitchell) Hornberger, of Steeleville, Jodi (Ross) Rickenberg, of Steeleville, Jacki (Rex) Conway, of Steeleville. Donna is also survived by her great grandchildren; Dalton, Sadie, Lila, Rex, and Kaylee.
Mrs. Jungewaelter was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son; Ed Hornberger, and 1 brother; Danny Durkee.
It was Mrs. Jungewaelter wishes to be cremated and a private service will be held at a later date. Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville has been entrusted with the arrangements.
