STEELEVILLE – Donald E. Brawley, 85, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in O'Fallon, IL.

Donald was born on August 27, 1937, the son of Thorlton and Bessie (Patterson) Brawley. He married Myrna Clifton on August 9, 1957, in Sparta, Illinois. Donald was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He was retired from General Motor's in St. Louis, MO. Donald was of the Protestant faith and a member of United Auto Workers Local #25, St. Louis, MO.

Donald is survived by his wife, Myrna Brawley of Steeleville, IL, his children: Cathy Burke of Willisville, IL, Donald W. Brawley of Statesville, NC, Darrell Ebers of Sparta, IL; his two grandchildren: Brian, Jarrod; his four great grandchildren: Chandler, Evelyn, Derrick, Vincent; and his brother, Skip (Delores) Brawley of Willisville, IL.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at 1:00 pm, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL, with Rev. Tom Foster officiating. Burial will follow at Caledonia Cemetery, Sparta, IL. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL, where friends may call from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
