WILLISVILLE – Dennis J. Ehlers, 65, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at his home in Willisville, Illinois.

Dennis was born on December 25, 1958, in Chester, IL, the son of Ernest and Katherine (Griffiths) Ehlers. He was a Carpenter and a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill, IL, and the Carpenters Union. Dennis was an avid fisherman, loved to hunt and do handywork.

Dennis is survived by his mother, Katherine Ehlers of Campbell Hill, IL, his siblings: Brian (Kristi) Ehlers of Ava, IL, Russell (Vivian) Ehlers of Willisville, IL, Tracy (Bill) Reed of Willisville, IL, Jack (Chris) Ehlers of Elkville, IL, Marvin (Stacy) Ehlers of Ava, IL, Krista (Ken) McHughes of Marissa, IL; many nieces and nephews, and a brother in law, Bob Middendorf of  Campbell Hill, IL.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Ehlers, sisters: Deb Ehlers and Tina Rae Ehlers.

It was Dennis's wish for cremation and a Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 11:00 am, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, IL, with Minister Deb Rathert officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Wilson's Funeral Home, where friends may call from 10:00 – 11:00 am.
