MURPHYSBORO – Delbert P. Lynn, 82, of Murphysboro, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020, at his home.

Delbert was born in Chester, Illinois, on February 19, 1938, the son of Oscar and Mamie Abbey Lynn.  He married Loretta J. Burke on July 9, 2003 in Murphysboro.  Delbert was of the Baptist faith.  He had retired from Sparta Light Metals in Sparta, Illinois.

Delbert is survived by his wife, Loretta Jean Lynn of Murphysboro, IL; Daughters; Julia A. Lynn (Joe) Durham of Percy, IL, Debra S. Frederick of Valmeyer, IL, Sherry of Arizona, and Ashley Lynn (Beau) Miller of Pinckneyville, IL.  Sons; Delbert Lynn Jr. of Sparta, IL, and Bobby Lynn of Sparta, IL.  Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends.

Delbert was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, Brother, Robert Lynn, Sisters; Brenda Overton, Betty Miller, and Gladys (Jodi) Simmons.  Niece, Bobbie Jean Lynn and a daughter, Donna.
