STEELEVILLE, Delbert E. Hartman, 72, of Steeleville, passed away at 5:30 P.M. Thursday, October 8, 2009, at Memorial Hospital of Chester in Chester, IL. He was born February 25, 1937 in Chester, Illinois the son of Raymond J. Hartman and Hilda (Gerberding) Hartman. Delbert married Irene Jany on December 7, 1957 in Bremen, Illinois. Mr. Hartman is retired from the Coal Mines, a member of St. John's Lutheran Church Bremen, IL, Randolph County Farm Bureau and U.M.W. of A. Local #7333. He is survived by his wife Irene Hartman of Steeleville, IL; sons: Jim and Christie Hartman of Steeleville, IL, Mike Hartman of Steeleville, IL; daughter: Diana and Tim Miller of Chester, IL; four grandchildren: Carmen and David Naeger of Bloomsdale, MO, Tasha and Adam Gibbs of Chester, IL, Ben Hartman of Branford, CT, Dylan Hartman of Steeleville, IL; four great grandchildren: Cohen and Brooklyn Gibbs and Zachary and Phillip Naeger; brother: Kenneth and Pam Hartman of Steeleville, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents and one son, Bradley Hartman. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 12, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Johns Lutheran Church of Bremen in Bremen, IL. Rev. Ed Rowley will be officiating. Burial will be at Paradise Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville where friends may call from 4 to 8pm on Sunday and on Monday from 7:30 to 9am then from 10 to 11am at the church. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Cemetery of St. John's Current Fund.
