Deborah Ann Hatley ,57, of Jacob, passed away on October 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Debbie was born on September 8, 1968, to Carol Collins (Bilderback) and Bill "Gene" Collins. She was lovingly raised by her mother Carol and father Lawrence "Larry" Schroeder.

On June 6, 1987, Debbie married her high school sweetheart, Darren Hatley. Together, they built a life rooted in faith, love and family. They were blessed with two daughters, Cassandra (Benjamin) Thomas and Chelsea (Kory) Jones, who brought them immense pride and joy. In 2016, Debbie received the title she cherished most—"MawMaw"—with the arrival of her first grandchild. She was blessed with three grandchildren: Maverick Jones, Tristan Thomas, and Magnolia Thomas. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and a constant source of strength during her brave battle with triple-negative breast cancer.

Debbie will be remembered for her incredible strength, unwavering faith, and deep love for her family. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Jacob, IL.

She is survived by her husband, Darren Hatley of Jacob; daughters Cassandra (Benjamin) Thomas of Ava and Chelsea (Kory) Jones of Jacob; grandchildren Maverick, Tristan, and Magnolia; father Larry Schroeder of Ava; brother Robert (Cheryl) Collins of Metropolis; adopted brother James Dale (Kelly) Schroeder of Jacob; mother-in-law Rhonda Roseberry of Jacob, and father Bill "Gene" (Carrie) Collins of Wentzville, MO.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Schroeder and Father in Law David Roseberry.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 11:00 am, at Christ Lutheran Church, Jacob with Rev. Gunnar Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Ava Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be at Christ Lutheran Church, Jacob on Wednesday from 9 am until 11 am. Memorials may be given to Sandra's Comfort.
