CHESTER – David R. Wright, of Chester, was born in Harrisburg, Illinois February 14, 1950 passed away January 5, 2020 in Integris Health Center in Oklahoma City!

David R. Wright was a Veteran of the United States Army and also belonged to AMERICAN LEGION DEPARTMENT OF ILLINOIS, and was 25th DISTRICT COMMANDER AND SENIOR VICE COMMANDER OF THE ALVA COURIER David, started his Law enforcement career in Cairo, IL as a Police Officer, and worked and joined many other Law Enforcement Depts. David, was a long time member of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Rockwood, Illinois.

David is survived by his Brother Ricky and Donna Woods! His Sister Jamie and Mike Miner. His Nephew Eric and April Wright. Nephew Joshua and Bridgett Wright. Nephew Gary and Mindy Dudenbostel. Nephew Micah and Meghan Wright. Nephew Tyler and Abby Woods. Niece Brittany and Jordan Beckley. Niece Brooke and Jake Hargis. David R. Wright also left behind Many Great Nieces and Nephews and many good friends that he Dearly Loved! Too man to list.

Preceded in Death by his Mother Minnie and Stepfather John Wilfong Brother Dennis Wright.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, January 11, 2020 at the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, Rockwood, with Rev. Dr. Cecil T. Dunning officiating, entombment will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery, Chester. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church where friends may all from 10 AM to 1 PM. Memorials may be made to the Randolph County Humane Society. Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville is assisting the family with the arrangements.
