CHESTER – David E. Throop, 69, of Chester, passed away at his home in Chester on Saturday, March 18, 2023.

David was born November 29, 1953, in Murphysboro, to George and Marybelle (Steele) Throop. David worked for many years in the automobile industry in Chicago and Sparta. He enjoyed fishing and loved his grandkids and spending time with them.

David is survived by Rita Ramsey; children, Megan Throop, Christina Throop, and James Throop; 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister, Linda Fortner; and brother, Thomas Throop.

David was preceded in death by his Parents; brothers, Michael Throop, Garry Throop, Paul Hiser; and grandson, William Herring.

It was David's wish to be cremated, and a private graveside service will be held at a later date.
