CAMPBELL HILL, David Rodewald, 57, of Campbell Hill, passed away at 2:30 AM Saturday, November 5, 2011, at home in Campbell Hill, Illinois. He was born August 8, 1954 in Murphysboro, Illinois the son of Wilbert Rodewald and Bernice Dierks Rodewald. David married Susan E. Cowley on June 1, 1975 in Immanuel Lutheran Church, West Point. He is survived by his: wife: Susan E. Rodewald, Campbell Hill, IL; 2 daughters: Renee Rodewald, Ava, IL, Anne and Josh Pierce, Ava, IL; son: Matt Rodewald, Campbell Hill, IL; 4 grandchildren: Gage McCaleb, Jaxon Walker, Conner Pierce, Peyton Pierce; mother: Norma Liefer Rodewald, Steeleville, IL; 3 brothers: Wayne and Nancy Rodewald, Tampa, FL, Lloyd and Lucinda Rodewald, Sparta, IL, Tom Liefer, Las Vegas, NV; sisters: Vivian Downing, Bloomington, IL, Doris and Jay Groves, Bloomington, IL; Many Nieces and Nephews. David is preceded in death by his father: Wilbert Rodewald and his mother: Bernice Dierks Rodewald and one brother: Paul. He was the owner of Rodewald Construction. David was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, West Point. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, West Point. Rev. Wayne H. Palmer will be officiating. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and then on Tuesday from 7:30 to 9am and then from 10 to 11am at the church. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Utility Building Fund.
