PERCY - David W. Reid, 60, of Percy, passed away at 11:58 am, Friday, November 25, 2022, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville.

David was born in Chester, Illinois, on March 30, 1962, the son of Harry Glenn and Frances Surman Reid. He married Janice Marie Miller, on November 30, 1985 at Percy, Illinois.  David was a Tow Motor Operator at Gilster Mary Lee Corporation at the Steeleville Cake Plant. He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Chester, and he attended Camp Creek Baptist Church, Murphysboro.

David is survived by his wife, Janice Reid of Percy; his children, Jonathan Reid of Rockwood, IL and Mikayla (Rick) Bastien of Murphysboro; granddaughter, Sophia Bastien; and sister, Debra Reid of Dearborn, MI.

David was preceded in death by his parents; and infant sister, Mila Reid.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, on Friday, December 2, 2022, at 11:00 am, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, with Rev. Eric Hanson officiating.  Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery, Rockwood, Illinois. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 5 pm until 8 pm on Thursday, and on Friday from 7:30 am until the hour of service. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
