STEELEVILLE, David W. Mevert, 59, of Steeleville, passed away at 9:05 P.M. Saturday, April 09, 2011, at his home in Steeleville, IL. He was born April 30, 1951 in Chester, Illinois the son of Albert F. Mevert and Annabelle (Bierman) Mevert. He is survived by his daughter: Allison and Eric Boswell of Belleville, IL; Best friend and Companion: Laura Kilgore and her son's Josh and Luke Kilgore of Steeleville, IL; parents: Albert and Annabelle Mevert of Steeleville, IL; brothers: Thomas Mevert of Steeleville, IL, Steven Mevert of Fresno, CA, and James Mevert of Steeleville, IL. David was the owner and president of Mevert Professional Associates, Inc. Steeleville, IL. He was also a member of the following professional organizations: American Institute of Architects, Construction Specification Institute, National Fire Protection Association, Building Officials & Code Administrators International, Steeleville Chamber of Commerce/ Steeleville Improvement Association and the Randolph County Progress Committee. He was also a licensed Architect, State of Illinois, 1978, State of Missouri, 1979, Registered Architect, State of Texas, 2002, Asbestos Project Designer, Management Planner and Inspector, IDPH/EPA/AHERA, 1989 and National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, 2001. He studied at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana and received his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies with high honors in 1973. He was also a director at First National Bank of Steeleville, IL. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Steeleville, IL. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at Peace Lutheran Church in Steeleville. Rev. S. Blake Duncan will be officiating. Private burial services will follow at a later date. Visitation will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, Steeleville on Tuesday from 4:30 to 8pm and on Wednesday from 7:30 am until the hour of service. Arrangement are under the auspices of Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville. Memorials may be made to Peace Lutheran Church or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
