CARTERVILLE - David Andrew Eaton, age 26, joined his Savior on Monday, April 18, 2022, in Carterville, IL. He was born on May 9, 1995, in Arlington, TX to William Kent and Marianella Eaton.
He has been a kind-hearted loving son and brother, full of adventure, bringing joy to those around him. He has been compassionate, generous and loves his Savior Jesus Christ.
David enjoyed being a Carterville Lion, playing football and basketball through his high school years. He was a member of FCA, Beta Club, FBLA, Spanish/World Language Club, and LifeSavers. He enjoyed watersports with his brothers and friends. He also loved snowboarding, weight training, and recently took up bow hunting. David was adventurous. He visited 24 countries by the age of 24.
David enjoyed life and lived each day to the fullest. He was a firm believer in the Lord and came to faith as a young boy. He was strong in his Christian walk and loved to talk in depth about the scriptures. He continued to seek God's direction and leadership in all things. Church fellowship and Bible study fueled his desire to fulfill the Great Commission. David enjoyed traveling with church youth groups on mission trips, Passion Conference, Super Summer, RA and FCA camps.
He worked for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency in St. Louis, MO. David served in the U.S. Air Force from 2014-2018 in Kadena Air Base, Japan and Ramstein Air Base, Germany. David received his Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Technology from SIUC in 2020. He began a Master's program in 2021 at SIUC. He excelled in computer information systems receiving letters of commendation and accolades from his USAF commanding officers.
He is survived by his parents- Kent and Bibi Eaton of Carterville, IL; two brothers- Luke Eaton (Whitney) of Edmond, OK and Connor Eaton of Hazelwood, MO; grandmothers- Marilyn Eaton of Avon Park, FL and Mary Rebosio of Glenmoore, PA; his aunts and uncles- Keith Eaton (June) of Paducah, KY, and Julie Eaton-Dishner of Santa Monica, CA, Laura Brockway (Richard) of Westfield, NJ, Nora McEvoy (Mark) of Glenmoore, PA, Monica Rebosio of Glenmoore, PA, Giovanna Psolka (Bob) of Rockwall, TX, Carlo Rebosio (Alyssa) of River Edge, NJ, Guido Rebosio (Lisa) of Clark, NJ. Surviving are beloved cousins and a large loving family. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Guido Rebosio and Deon Eaton.
Services were held with Military Honors at Ava Missionary Baptist Church and Evergreen Cemetery in Ava, IL on Monday, April 25, 2022.
