AVA – Darrell Gene Eisenhauer, Sr., 84, of Ava, passed away at 3:23 pm, Friday, July 25, 2025, at Integrity of Marion, Marion, Illinois.

Darrell was born in Vergennes, Illinois, on January 13, 1941, the son of Vernon D. and Geneva R. Ellis Eisenhauer. He married Joyce Nation on February 9, 1979 in Murphysboro. She preceded him in death on September 5, 2023. Darrell retired from GTE Telephone Company.

Darrell is survived by his children, Julie Eisenhauer of Murphysboro, IL, Darrell, Jr. (Barbara) Eisenhauer of Murphysboro, IL, and Michelle (Tom) Liebenrood of Carterville, IL ; step daughter, Lauri Gray of St. Peter's, MO; grandchildren, Britany Johnson, Loni Eisenhauer, Lida Eisenhauer and Dean Eisenhauer; step granddaughter, Katelyn Stoewsand; and several great grandchildren.

Darrell was also preceded in death by his Parents.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 11:30 am, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, with Rev. James Easton officiating. Burial will follow at Ava Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call on Friday from 10:30 am until 11:30 am. The preferred form of remembrance are memorials to Ava Food Pantry or St. Francis Animal Rescue.
