BALDWIN, Darlene Spier, 78, of Baldwin, passed away at 10:10 AM Saturday, July 23, 2016, at Coulterville Care Center in Coulterville, Illinois.  She was born March 8, 1938 in Chester, Illinois the daughter of Adolph and Lydia (Fricke) Duensing.  Darlene married Jim Spier on March 19, 1966 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bremen, Illinois.

Darlene was a Homemaker.  She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Baldwin, the Ladies Aid at Church and the Randolph County Motorcycle Club.  She was a former 4-H Leader.  Darlene enjoyed extended motorcycle trips with her husband, Jim and her family.

She is survived by her husband,  James Spier, Baldwin, IL, Children:  Jamie and Paul Moak of West Frankfort, IL, and Tim and Susan Spier of Murray, KY;  and Grandchildren: Jacob Moak, Lucas Moak and Sophia Spier.

Darlene is preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church, Baldwin, Illinois with Rev. Mark Nebel officiating.  Burial will follow at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Baldwin, IL.   Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, on Monday where friends may call from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. and on Tuesday from 10AM to 11AM at the church. Memorials may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson Research or the Ronald McDonald House Charity.
